Thursday resident Katarza tells about herself in her own words:
I’m a techno dj from Slovenia, Europe. I got involved with electronic music 16 years ago and although I tried myself behind decks many times it wasn’t until Autumn 2017 that I started Djing when I got inspired by female techno artists such as Amelie Lens, Rebekah, Nina Kraviz and Nastia. My first dj steps were with the mentorship of Slovenian techno legend Dj Psiho and later I upgraded my dj skills at the dj workshop in iconic club K4.
I already performed across Slovenia in clubs like Terminal, K4, Channel Zero, Monokel, Spajz, Rog concert hall, Coco Cafe, parties of the Kung Fu Techno crew and Crazy For Life organizations, I performed at one of the biggest Slovenian festivals StellarBeat, as well as in Istanbul, Poland and Traces festival in Vietnam.
I’m a co-founder of Si:nonym crew with which we organize open-air event Summer Kick-Off and smaller club events. I just started my monthly residency at world renowned Fnoob Techno radio with my show Techno Therapy. In my quickly ascending career, I performed with some of the biggest names in electronic scene such as Fernanda Martins, Christoph Wolter, Paolo Barbato and Nakadia.
In my set I combine oldschool techno sounds with new production of acid, deep and industrial techno. From time to time I also play drum & bass (I performed at the biggest drum&bass event in Slovenia – DNB Konferenca), as well as minimal, progressive and house styles when the setting requires me to.
